The cabin in Anchorage that we lived in
had survived many earthquakes over the decades.
Someone remarked that the original owner
lived in this... with a wife and two kids...
or was it four kids...?
and that the 2 ft. deep shelves at the
back of the kitchen... doubled as beds.
The bathroom was just big enough to turn around in.
A hose attachment in the tub was the shower.
We could seat six people comfortably
with two sitting on the bed... two in the kitchen...
and two on chairs in the bedroom/desk area.
Very efficient design... for a 9 x 12 ft. (?) cabin.
We added the mud room ourselves.
