Biscuits

2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
|
1 cup milk
6 Tbsp butter, softened
|

*Mix together the dry ingredients.
Cut in the butter with a large fork til crumbly.
Stir in the milk just until fully mixed in. Don't overwork batter.
Batter should be thick.
Turn onto a floured counter or board.
Press or roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into squares or rounds
Place on a greased cookie sheet 1/2 inch apart.
Easy version: Press dough onto greased cookie sheet.
Cut in squares and leave on sheet. Bake 'em up.
Bake at 425' for 10 to 15 minutes & until browned.
