Snickerdoodles

|
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
|
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
|
|
|
* Cream shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar, mixing well.
Add eggs and mix.
Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt.
Add to the shortening/sugar mixture. Blend well.
Form dough into balls the size of walnuts.
Roll each ball in a mixture of 2 Tbsp sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake in 400' for 10 minutes.
